Icy road contributes to rollover

AURORA – A Highway 14 rollover last week resulted in only minor injuries to the driver, the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office reported today.

Last Thursday, Feb. 14, an SUV driven by Andrew Rodriguez of Elkton was heading east when it hit an icy patch on U.S. Highway 14, about a half-mile east of 476th Avenue. That’s near the Aurora intersection.

The driver lost control of his vehicle, which veered into the south ditch and rolled.
