BROOKINGS – A Brookings man accused of shooting another man in the leg has been released from the Brookings County Detention Center after making his initial court appearance Friday.
Andrew Teckels, 23, is facing three separate charges as a result of an incident that took place at a Western Estates home around 10 p.m. Thursday.
Police investigators say that Teckels and another man, 51-year-old Randy Anderson, had been involved in a lengthy argument when Teckels went into his bedroom and returned with a 9 mm handgun.
