BROOKINGS – A pedestrian-bicycle accident on the South Dakota State University campus Wednesday sent both of the individuals involved to the hospital, the SDSU Collegian reports in its online edition today.
According to the Collegian story, a male cyclist traveling near the University Student Union, slammed into a walker, apparently knocking both of them to the ground.
The accident occurred around 2 p.m.
“Witnesses described the cyclist as traveling at a high rate of speed, when he struck the female pedestrian on her way to The Union’s west parking lot,” the Collegian reported.
