Driver smashes into deck, heads for Campbell

BROOKINGS – A rural Brookings resident had a “run-in” with an early-morning visitor Saturday – when a driver actually ran into the deck of his home.

Deputies from the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at 2:43 a.m. Saturday to a home just west of Brookings, where the resident said someone had just smashed into his deck.
