Tools stolen from local work site

BROOKINGS, Makita power tools were taken during a burglary earlier this week, according to Brookings Police.

Vehicles stolen, man charged

BROOKINGS, Two vehicles were stolen Feb. 1, and a 20-year-old Sioux Falls man is facing grand theft charges with more possibly coming, according to the Brookings Police and Brookings County Sheriff's Office.
A 2001 Ford F250 pick-up was reported stolen about 12:15 p.m. Monday, being taken sometime on Sunday from the 700 block of Main Avenue South, said Police Lt.

Officials looking for hit-and-run driver, car

BROOKINGS, A 26-year-old Brookings woman escaped injury when a driver struck her vehicle and took off without stopping, according to the Brookings County Sheriff's Office.
The incident was reported at 6:30 a.m. Friday and took place on Medary Avenue South and 32nd Street South, said Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring.
