One hurt in crash

BROOKINGS,A 65-year-old Brookings man was taken by ambulance to the Brookings hospital about midday Wednesday for treatment of facial lacerations and other injuries he received in a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Eighth Street South and 22nd Avenue South.
Gerald Page, 65, sustained what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries but his condition today is unknown.

BROOKINGS, A Bruce driver continues to recover following eye surgery for injuries he received in an early September collision.

Fencer, battery stolen near Elkton

ELKTON, A thief has stolen an electric fencer and battery from a location near Elkton, it was reported to the Brookings County Sheriff's Office Tuesday afternoon.
The equipment was located at North 207th Street, along 484th Avenue, sheriff's investigators said. It had been set up on the east side of the road.
