REDFIELD – The host Pheasants swept the team titles at the Redfield/Doland Cross Country Invitational on Thursday.
The boys’ team totaled 22 points and edged Miller, which also had 22 points, in a tiebreaker. Aberdeen Christian (23) was third and Great Plains Lutheran (37) fourth.
Wessington Springs’ Jase Kraft won the individual title in 17 minutes, 21.04 seconds.
Deubrook Area’s Trevor Hinderaker was second in 18:15.74.
The Dolphins took fifth in the team standings with 57 points.
John Roelofsen (21:28.69) took 33rd and Matt Gollaher (21:41.9) was 37th to round out the team score.
Also for Deubrook, Jacob Johnson finished 42nd in 21:54.6.
On the girls’ side, the Pheasants finished with nine points after putting three runners in the top six – including medalist Nicollette Schmidt (15:33.2).
Potter County’s Hannah Flatt was second and Deubrook Area’s Melanie Monnier took 58th.
The Dolphins play host to the Deubrook Invitational on Saturday at 9 a.m. in White.
