AURORA – Mike Holen tossed a complete game and Aurora took advantage of 11 free passes in beating the Sioux Falls Saints, 5-3, for its third consecutive win during amateur baseball action Wednesday night.
Holen allowed three runs – one earned – on 16 hits with four strikeouts and zero walks.
The A’s won despite getting out-hit 16-5. They drew nine walks.
Aurora scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 4-1 lead. Doyle Price reached on an error to open the game, and Ty Schneider and Nick Swisher drew back-to-back walks to load the bases.
