• Brookings on schedule for officer running 52 marathons

More than 200 marathon runners will gather at the starting line of the Brookings Marathon May 11, each with their own unique story to tell.

But as they gather by Pioneer Park with another 300 half marathon runners and 50 relay team members, there will be little written on the cover of the book they’ve penned to get to this point. Bob Schluben is no different. He will just be part of the crowd.

But Schluben could literally write a book on what he is experiencing in 2013.
