KELLER, Texas – North Dakota State put four players in the top eight to take the team lead after Day 1 of the Summit League Women’s Golf Championships on Monday at the 6,119-yard, par-72 Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club.
The Bison opened with a 307 and hold an eight-shot lead over Kansas City (315). Omaha is third at 322, IUPUI is fourth at 330, Oakland is fifth at 336 and Western Illinois sits in the sixth spot after a 340.
South Dakota State and Fort Wayne are currently tied for seventh at 345, while South Dakota rounds of the team standings in ninth following a round of 355.
Kansas City senior Taylor Fisher holds the individual lead at 3-over-par 75. She made three bogeys during a front-nine 39, before closing with nine consecutive pars to take the first-round lead.
South Dakota State senior Morgan Fitts is among a three-way tie for second after a 4-over 76 on Monday.
