SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota State pulled out a pair of come-from-behind victories, sweeping North Dakota in nonconference softball action on a warm and windy Wednesday afternoon at Sherman Park in Sioux Falls.
The Jackrabbits won the opener 8-7 and were victorious in Game 2 by an 8-4 margin.
UND fell to 10-24 with the losses.
South Dakota State, which had its last seven home games either canceled or moved to a different location due to unplayable field conditions at Jackrabbit Softball Stadium in Brookings, returns to action with a three-game Summit League series against South Dakota at Nygaard Field in Vermillion. The Jackrabbits (11-18, 1-5 Summit League) and Coyotes (22-12, 5-1) have a doubleheader on Friday at 2 p.m. and a single game on Saturday at noon.
