BROOKINGS – The always-competitive South Dakota State rodeo teams are both in familiar positions heading into the 59th Jackrabbit Stampede this weekend at the Swiftel Center.

The top two teams in the region standings qualify for the 2013 College National Finals Rodeo held in June in Casper, Wyo., while the top three individuals in each event qualify.

The competitive rodeo starts at 7 p.m. on Friday and has two shows on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
