AMES, Iowa – The South Dakota State softball team went 1-3 over the weekend to finish with a 1-4 record at the season-opening Cyclone Invitational, hosted by Iowa State.
The Jackrabbits picked up a 4-3 victory over Northern Colorado on Sunday morning, before falling 7-3 to North Dakota in the afternoon. On Saturday, the Jacks fell 4-0 to the Bears and 11-4 to the host Cyclones. SDSU opened tourney play with a 5-3 loss to UND on Friday.
Iowa State and Indiana State both had a 4-1 record in the event; IPFW was 2-2; Northern Colorado finished 2-3; and North Dakota posted a 2-4 mark.
