CHESTER – Sioux Valley scored 20 consecutive points early in the game and breezed past Chester Area, 58-30, in a girls’ basketball game Thursday evening.
The Cossacks scored 17 straight to take a 17-3 lead after a quarter and Carley Peterson buried a trey at the 6:04 mark of the second quarter to make it 20-3.
Sioux Valley, which went 10-of-25 from 3-point range, led 25-13 at halftime and 42-22 through three quarters. The lead peaked at 30 points – 56-26 – following a Peterson 3-pointer with 6:04 left in the game.
