Bantam A Rangers bring home I-94 Classic championship

The Brookings Bantam A Rangers posted a 3-0 record to win the I-94 Classic held in Sauk Centre, Minn., over the weekend. The Rangers beat Spring Lake Park, 11-1, in their opener before knocking off Hibbing/Chissom, 5-1, in the semifinals. The Rangers topped off the weekend with a 5-4 win over Grand Forks, N.D., in the championship game. The Brookings Bantam A Rangers took their undefeated record on the road to compete in the I-94 Classic in Sauk Centre, Minn., this past weekend and brought home the championship with three wins.

In the first game of the tournament, the Rangers jumped out to an early lead against Spring Lake Park and cruised to an 11-1 win.

Akren Prodoehl led the Rangers with three goals and three assists; Issac Rounds added three goals; Hunter Neuman contributed two goals and two assists; Colton Kruse chipped in with two goals and two assists; Carter Krogman scored one goal and Cody Honkomp tallied an assist.

Goalie Tristin Kuehn stopped 15–of–16 shots as the Rangers outshot Spring Lake Park, 44-16, in the win.
