CLARK – South Dakota State signee Skyler Flatten scored 20 points and Clark/Willow Lake beat Sioux Valley, 56-50, in a boys’ basketball game Saturday night.
Cossack eighth-grader Tayton Vincent scored a game-high 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting, including a 6-of-12 clip from 3-point range.
He hit a trey with 2:58 left to pull the Cossacks within 51-45. Following a free throw by CWL’s Mitch Prouty, Sioux Valley’s Jake Larson had a bucket in the paint and Vincent hit another 3 to cut the deficit to two – 52-50 – with 1:15 remaining.
