ABERDEEN – With the twin towers leading the way in the second half, Aberdeen Central broke out to a season-opening win over Brookings.
Aberdeen, which led by seven points at halftime, sprinted to a 65-38 win over Brookings on Thursday in Eastern South Dakota Conference girls’ high school basketball action at Golden Eagles Arena. Central’s starting post players, Sara Niederbaumer (6-foot) and Samantha Knecht (6-2) got involved with the fast break, especially in the second half.
