Cossack wrestling on the rise

VOLGA – Even though the results of Thursday’s quadrangular were the same for Sioux Valley as they have been the past couple of years – an 0-3 record against West Central, Garretson and Parker – how the Cossacks came out on the short end may have marked a new beginning for Sioux Valley wrestling.

The Cossacks fell to West Central and Garretson by lopsided scores – 69-9 and 57-12, respectively – but their 42-36 loss to the Pheasants came down to the final match of the evening before dropping the dual to finish without a win.
