SDSU falls in OT to Marquette

BROOKINGS – Opportunity knocked for the Jackrabbits in a 77-74 overtime loss to Marquette in women’s basketball action at Frost Arena on Wednesday.

Unfortunately for the SDSU faithful, the Jacks couldn’t make a couple of plays down the stretch as they fell to 3-4 on the season.

Trailing 62-61 in regulation, two Katie Lingle free throws gave SDSU a one-point lead with 3:08 remaining, but a Jackrabbit turnover following a missed Marquette jump shot led to a pair of Golden Eagle charity tosses.
