Pre-Fourth of July fireworks could be seen on the Medary Little League Baseball diamonds on Tuesday:
• CF Promo 17, Century 21 7
Carter Zink, Parker Beers and Ethan Ness each scored three runs to bring a victory to CF Promo. Sam Lehman had three RBIs with a single and a triple, and Lehman also scored twice. Beers hit three singles, and Jay Wilber and Brandon Nelson also hit singles. Daniel May’s double drove in two runs and May also scored two runs. On the mound, Wilber and Ness combined to pitch five innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits while walking two batters and striking out six.
For Century 21, Evan Becher and Jacob Schoon each hit two singles, had two RBIs and scored two runs. Carter Krogman also drove in two runs with two doubles, and Evan Koerner singled and scored.
• Pizza Ranch 12, Superior Homes 3
Pizza Ranch scored five runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to earn the victory. Jacob Engen, Trevor Kuechenmeister, Nick Hardin, Jacob Vlaminck and Parker Rykhus all scored two runs, and Hardin and Kuechenmeister each had two RBIs. Kuechenmeister hit two singles and one double, and Hardin singled once and had two doubles. Engen hit a triple, and Casey Pedersen, Jacob Vlaminck, Rykhus and Brady Lee all hit singles. On the mound, Jordan Vlaminck and Hardin combined for seven strikeouts.
For Superior Homes, Kaden Vugteveen and Christian Mediger hit singles and each scored one run. Tyler Stewart also scored once. On the mound, Sean Sullivan, Brock Luze, Brent Nelson and Vugteveen combined to strike out five batters.
• BraVo’s 10, First Bank & Trust 4
Starting pitcher Tyler Kreutner hit a home run, singled, scored three times and drove in one run to lead BraVo’s to victory. Ryan Treiber singled, tripled, scored two runs and also had one RBI. Preston Helmboldt’s single drove in two runs, and Dominic Dobesh had an RBI, scored twice and singled. Joshua Gustafson singled and scored one run. Kreutner, Treiber and Ryan Miley all pitched for BraVo’s.
First Bank & Trust scored three of their four runs in the first inning. Justin Puppe reached on an error and Trevor Berreth walked. Drew Cole’s single scored Puppe, and Berreth came across the plate on a Tyler Swanson groundout. A double by Rhett Zelinsky plated Cole. Zelinsky’s second double of the game allowed him to later score on a Trent Broksieck groundout in the third inning.
