BROOKINGS, South Dakota State beat Omaha 12-2 in seven innings on Sunday to claim a 2-1 Summit League series win at Erv Huether Field.
The Mavericks (17-19, 10-8) were 8-6 victors Saturday, ending the home team's eight-game win streak.

NORWALK, Calif., Mary Wirth won her first high jump meet title of the 2015 outdoor campaign, and Lori Foltz and Amy Leiferman set South Dakota State records at the Beach Invitational on Saturday.

BROOKINGS, Western Illinois took two out of three games from South Dakota State during Summit League action over the weekend at Jackrabbit Softball Stadium.
In Saturday morning's doubleheader, the Leathernecks won the opener 3-1 and the Jackrabbits took the nightcap 3-0. WIU claimed an 11-3 fiveinning victory Sunday afternoon.

WALNUT, CALIF., South Dakota State records fell in the 100-meter dash, the 3,000-meter steeplechase and the 4x400-meter relay at the Mt. SAC Relays.

BROOKINGS, The ‘Rabbits rallied for an opening-game win but dropped the nightcap to split a doubleheader with Creighton at Jackrabbit Softball Stadium on Wednesday.

The Lady Bulldogs won nine events en route to taking the girls' title with 185.5 points. The Quarriers, who had five victories, were second at 107.5.

BROOKINGS,Tuesday's dual track meet at the BHS Sports Complex between Eastern South Dakota Conference foes Brookings and Watertown showed how evenly matched the two squads are, especially on the girls' side.

CLEAR LAKE, Leannah TeKrony had a big day while leading the Estelline girls to a third-place finish at the Pork Chop Relays, hosted by Deuel, on Tuesday.
The sophomore won the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.38 seconds and was tops in the long jump with a mark of 15 feet, 2 inches.
