Jackrabbits crush UALR 67-42

BROOKINGS, South Dakota State shook off a slow start and smashed UALR 67-42 in a nonconference women's basketball game Thursday night at Frost Arena.
The Jackrabbits overcame 28 turnovers, 15 of which came on steals. They held the Trojans to 32.1 percent (18-of-56) shooting, including a 0-for-7 clip from 3-point range; and outscored the visitors 20-6 at the free-throw line.

Zenner earns another All-America honor

CLEVELAND, Another day, another All-America honor for South Dakota State running back Zach Zenner.
Thursday, Zenner earned a spot on the 2014 Football Championship Subdivision Athletic Directors Association All-America Team. The second annual award recognizes the top student-athletes from FCS institutions at 11 different positions. Voting was conducted by a national panel consisting of media and sports information directors.

NEW YORK, South Dakota State University running back Zach Zenner earned first-team recognition, while teammates Justin Syrovatka and Jake Wieneke were each named Wednesday to the second team of The Associated Press Football Championship Subdivision All-America Team.

The Bobcats improved to 4-0.
