Kramer tops 1,000 points as Cossacks beat Fliers

VOLGA, Collin Kramer topped the 1,000-point mark for his career during thirdranked Sioux Valley's 64-54 defeat of Flandreau in a Big East Conference/Lake Central Conference boys' basketball contest Thursday night.
The senior needed three points entering the game, and quickly took care of business.

Bobcat boys complete season sweep of Tigers

HARRISBURG, The Bobcats won their fourth game of the season as they beat Harrisburg, 64-48, in Eastern South Dakota Conference play on Thursday night.
Tied at 15-all after a quarter, Brookings scored the first five points of the second on a basket by Jared Vanderbush and an Isaac Brandt 3-pointer before the Tigers scored twice to get within 22-21.

HARRISBURG, It was a rough shooting night for Brookings as the Tigers made it a season sweep with a 48-37 Eastern South Dakota Conference win over the Bobcats on Thursday night.

WATERTOWN, Lake Preston outscored Great Plains Lutheran 9-5 in overtime to pull out a 42-38 victory during nonconference boys' basketball action Monday night.

SIOUX FALLS/BROOKINGS, The Ranger girls capped their weekend with a pair of SDAHA wins, downing the Flyers, 7-1, on Saturday in Sioux Falls, and then beating Watertown, 6-2, on Sunday at Larson Ice Center.
The two wins run Brookings' league record to 14-2-0-1, which places the Rangers all alone in second place in the standings with 29 points.

BISMARCK, N.D., The Bobcats took sole possession of first place in the Central Division after downing the Blizzard, 6-3, on Saturday night at the VFW Sports Center.
Bismarck (24-13-1) leads the division with 49 points while Minot (22-16-3) had 47. The Blizzard, 16-18-6, sit in fourth place with 38 points, just two points ahead of the MN Magicians (16-19-4).

DENVER, South Dakota State shot 57.1 percent (12-of-21) from the field in the second half to beat Denver 67-56 in a Summit League men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at Magness Arena.
The Jackrabbits trailed 16-5 after 12 minutes of play but later used an 8-0 run to tie the score at 22-all. Denver was up 25-24 at intermission.
