MITCHELL, The Brookings Swim Club netted a fifth-place finish at last weekend's Long Course State Championship Swim Meet held in Mitchell.
BSC finished with 1,766.5 points as the Aberdeen Swim Club won the team title with 2,932.5 points. The Sioux Falls Snofox tallied 2,616 for second, followed by the Pierre Swim Team (2,215) and the Watertown Area Swim Club (2,094).

ABERDEEN, The Brookings ‘Chutes beat Aberdeen 5-4 on Saturday but were eliminated from the Junior Legion State Baseball Tournament following a 12-2 five-inning loss to the Rapid City Post 22 Expos on Sunday at Fossum Field.
