• Governor proposes 3% ongoing increase for FY15
BROOKINGS – South Dakota’s school superintendents are pleased with Gov. Dennis Daugaard’s proposal to increase state aid to schools by 3 percent in 2015 – but not too pleased.
Brookings Superintendent Roger DeGroot told his school board last week that he had just come from a meeting of the state superintendents in Chamberlain, where they’d discussed the state aid proposal for Fiscal Year 15 (which begins in July 2014).
