Football stadium gets $12.5M boost

BROOKINGS – Sioux Falls banker Dana Dykhouse and philanthropist T. Denny Sanford have offered lead gifts totaling $12.5 million toward the construction of a new football stadium at South Dakota State University, school officials announced Saturday.

The announcement was made in conjunction with the 100th Hobo Day game at SDSU. Sanford presented a $10 million check and the Dykhouse family a $2.5 million check at halftime of the Jackrabbits’ Missouri Valley Football Conference game against Southern Illinois.
