FB&T commits $1M to SDSU sports center

• FCSAmerica offers $50,000 donation for new swine facilities

BROOKINGS – It’s a great week to be a Jackrabbit.

South Dakota State University officials have announced a pair of impressive donations, both aimed at offering students better places in which to learn and work on the Brookings campus.

First Bank & Trust has pledged $1 million in support of the Indoor Practice and Human Performance Center at South Dakota State University, the university said Thursday. The gift puts SDSU significantly closer to the project’s $32 million goal.

And a day earlier, SDSU officials said Farm Credit Services of America had made a $50,000 donation to the proposed Swine Teaching and Research Facilities at SDSU.
