Legislative forums start this weekend

• Three local events planned throughout 2013 session

BROOKINGS – The Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce’s Government Affairs Committee will hold three legislative forums with local legislators this winter, and the first of the trio is planned for this weekend.

Organizers say the forums are being conducted to allow area residents an opportunity to become better informed about the legislative session.

The forums will be held on three different Saturdays: Jan. 26, Feb. 9 and Feb. 23. All will be held in the Council Chambers at Brookings City & County Government Center, 520 Third St., from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
