Walls up at Whiskey Creek

Activity was slow this morning at the site of a new Whiskey Creek Wood Fire Grill in Brookings, but the restaurant is quickly taking shape along U.S. Highway 14, near the Swiftel Center on the east edge of the city. Soil problems delayed the start of construction, and the restaurant owners said they wanted to see the eatery open sometime in December. The business will operate with Brookings’ first-ever restaurant liquor license.
