• District already transitioning to new student assessment
BROOKINGS – While South Dakota’s interim accountability system for schools is difficult to understand, the bottom line is Brookings School District’s scores went up on the Dakota STEP test this year, said curriculum director Mary Sprecher.
“When we compare our proficiency rates over the scores of the past couple years, we’ve shown progress and we’ve made gains in almost every area,” Sprecher said. “So, we are extremely pleased with our scores this year.”
