More road work ahead

Crews from Topkote Inc. of Yankton, with assistance from City of Brookings workers handling traffic control, appeared to be making quick work of seal coating on Brookings streets Tuesday afternoon. This summer the sections of roads to be covered in oil and pea rock include the area south of 20th Street South (Valley View, Esther Heights, Bluegill Additions), east of 22nd Avenue (Eastbrook, Sunrise, etc.), 22nd Avenue south of 20th Street South, Orchard Drive from Medary Avenue to 22nd Avenue, and the industrial area around Daktronics. Barring any unforeseen circumstances or rain, the work should be complete by the end of this week.
