Tina Heesch, age 50, of Brookings passed away at home under hospice care on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024.   
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, at Eidsness Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, also at Eidsness Funeral Home.  
Tina Heesch was born in Fargo, North Dakota, on Aug. 5, 1973, to Deb Plueger and Ron Hosack.  She attended Brookings area schools until the seventh grade, when her family moved to Lake Benton, MN, where she graduated from high school in 1992.  In high school, Tina enjoyed playing basketball and hanging out with her friends, especially her best friend Julie.  
Throughout her life, Tina worked at various jobs, including the Lake Benton Café, Larson Manufacturing, in-home daycare, and worked for the Brookings School District as a children’s nutritionist for 17 years.
Tina had many interests throughout her life, including running her small business Tina’s Tin Can Flower Creations, doing hair and makeup, being active on social media, talking on the phone, bird and squirrel watching, gardening, fishing, listening to music, going for drives, and visiting family in Fargo. Tina’s family’s well-being was always in her heart and mind.
Tina is survived by her mother, Deb (Jim) Plueger; her father, Ron (Mary) Hosack; her husband, Steve Heesch; her mother-in-law, Marilyn Heesch; her daughter Brandi Heesch; sons: Brandin Heesch, Stephen Heesch, and Haidin Heesch; her bonus daughter Emma Johnson; her brothers and sisters: Dj Miller, Heather Eck, Troy Plueger, Travis Plueger, Cody Plueger, and Kolt Plueger; her best friend Julie Roden-Scubelek; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  
She is preceded in death by her grandma, Pauline Knudson; grandpa Orville Knudson; grandpa, Rolland Hosack; grandma, Marie Hosack; father-in-law, Robert “Bob” Heesch; aunt, Judy Cogger; niece, Suzy Lakes; and her good friend Natasha Clipper.
