On Feb. 26, Mickelson Middle School took teams to compete in a quiz bowl competition in Tri-Valley.
Medals went out to the top five places.
Brookings took six teams to this competition, with 24 teams total.
Second place went to Brookings Team 4 of Kerrick Zhang, Eli Ellsworth, Holden Austreim, and Grant Tellekson.
Brookings Team 2 of Jagat Perumal, Sinan Briddick, Madeline Enderson, and Sanhita Tummala took fifth place.
Brookings Team 3 of Rayaan Ahmad, Donovan Gloege, Hudson Vincent, Amanuel Gemechis, and Liam Heiberger took eighth place.
Brookings Team 1 of Charlie Butzin, Catie Michna, Annabell Bartels, and Elizabeth Saunders took 12th place.
Brookings Team 6 of Jay KC, Tyler Hegg, August Steinhauer, Oscar Steinhauer, and Shinji Numata took 18th place.
Finally, Brookings Team 5 of Bob Carroll, Ted Lin, Jacob Novotny, and Kale Wieker took 20th place.
