The Little Leprechauns 4-H club met April 14 at the Brookings County Outdoor Adventure Center with 13 members and one guest attending.

The roll call topic was “What is your favorite school subject?”

Discussion was held on Clover Care Kits, on the 4-H T-shirt design contest, on the Brookings Summer Arts Festival 4-H pork booth and on 4-H camp this summer.

The talk was “If you were a ruler of your own country, what would be the first law you would introduce?” Gwen McCausland taught the 4Hers about Native American farming. The 4Hers used cowpots, (pictured) to plant corn, beans and squash that they took home to place in their gardens.

The next meeting of the Little Leprechauns will be May 12 at 1 p.m at the BCOAC.
