Thursday, Feb. 22

  • 1:10 p.m. Officers were made aware of a theft in the 700 block of Fifth Street South. An investigation was made and charges are pending.
  • 5:05 p.m. Officers received a report regarding a hit and run. A report was filed.

Friday, Feb. 23

  • 1:26 a.m. Brookings Police conducted a traffic stop. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
  • 11:05 a.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to a local hotel for a guest refusing to leave. The subject was later arrested for numerous charges.
  • 12:52 p.m. Officers took a report of a weapons violation at a school.
  • 1:24 p.m. A CS officer responded to an animal abuse call.
  • 5:10 p.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to a non injury accident.

Saturday, Feb. 24

  • 1:10 p.m. Officers took a report of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident.
  • 1:56 p.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to 532 Sunrise Ridge Road for a two-vehicle, non-injury accident.
  • 5:30 p.m. The Brookings Police Department made an arrest on a driving complaint.
  • 5:54 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took an animal bite report.
  • 10:09 p.m. Officers investigated an alleged simple assault.

Sunday, Feb. 25

  • 12 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a fight. One individual was arrested without incident.
  • 2:09 a.m. Officers were alerted of a fight downtown. One suspect arrested.
  • 2:41 a.m. Officers took a report of vandalism.
  • 10:48 a.m. Law enforcement completed a welfare check.
  • 4:23 p.m. Officers took a report of a potential weapons violation. The incident is under investigation.
  • 6:34 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a theft. One individual was cited.

Monday, Feb. 26

  • 8:39 a.m. An individual reported some concerns in regards to parenting to the police.
  • 11:22 a.m. Officers took a report of identity theft at the Brookings Police Department.
  • 6:12 p.m. Am officer served arrest warrant on inmate at Brookings County jail.
  • 9 p.m. An officer arrested male on a warrant out of .Brookings County.
