BROOKINGS — A Monday morning assault against a 27-year-old woman in her home in Brookings led to the arrest and jailing of a man from White.
Brady M. Glazier, 34, was charged with domestic aggravated assault after fleeing the scene of the incident in Medary Village Trailer Park, 324 Medary Ave. S., then subsequently being taken into custody without incident, per a Tuesday news release from the Brookings Police Department and a probable cause statement from the Brookings County State’s Attorney’s Office. He remained in the Brookings County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond as of noon Wednesday.
The BPD responded to the incident at 11:51 a.m. According to the release, the woman was located inside the residence and it was determined that Glazier, who knew her, entered the residence around 9:30 a.m. During the time that Glazier was in the residence, he engaged in a dispute with the woman, resulting in an altercation that allegedly included striking the woman several times and strangling her as well.
He will appear in court at a later date.
