ELKTON – A pickup was deemed a total loss after a fire northwest of Elkton Saturday, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The fire was reported at 12:40 p.m. Saturday at 21413 481st Ave., Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.
The Elkton Fire Department and Brookings County Sheriff’s Office responded and found a 1991 Dodge W-150 pickup on fire.
“The Elkton Fire Department extinguished the fire. The vehicle was a complete loss. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The fire is under investigation with the Elkton Fire Department and Brookings County Sheriff’s Office,” Sebring said.
