Brookings School Board members got a little taste treat at their Monday retreat. The informal, wide-ranging session was held at Mickelson Middle School, where Jim McKercher, a representative of Food Services of America, was visiting with samples of new foods or new brands of foods that will be served at the middle school next year. McKercher (center) served as head chef, and his tasting team included (from left) board members Catherine Twitero and Amy Dunkle, Superintendent Roger DeGroot and Curriculum Director Dorothy Zuiderhof. A group of middle-school students also got to sample some of the goodies.
