Angels abundant in rural Arlington

• Collection holds more than 1,000 heavenly messengers

BROOKINGS – "Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here. Ever this day be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen."

That age-old childhood prayer – still dear to many adults – played a big role in the life of Jeanette Pedersen, of rural Arlington, and led to her collecting angel figurines and other objects featuring images of these heavenly messengers.

Jeanette recalls that as a child she loved her grandmother, who had a picture of a guardian angel.
