DOT, county seek input for transportation master plan

BROOKINGS – The South Dakota Department of Transportation, in collaboration with Brookings County, will hold three public open houses next week as part of the Brookings County Master Transportation Plan. The meetings will be held at 5:30 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

• Tuesday, Jan. 15: Elkton Community Center, 109 Elk St.

• Wednesday, Jan. 16: Volga Community Center, 109 Samara Ave.

• Thursday, Jan. 17: McKnight Community Center, 228 W. Main St., White

The Brookings County Master Transportation Plan study will address a full range of transportation options and issues, including pedestrian, bicycle, transit, freight and automobile.
