• Stoplights would precede rebuilding of two key roadways in south Brookings
BROOKINGS – Tuesday’s first council session of the year might set the record as the briefest council gathering of 2013 – it lasted 23 minutes from Deputy Mayor Keith Corbett’s opening gavel to the final vote to adjourn.
Between that rapid start and swift close, councilors got their first look at a plan to install traffic signals at the intersection of 20th Street South and Main Avenue South.
