• Councilors keep studying revised ordinance, but some say changes not necessary

The modified city ordinance is expected to come up for a reading Dec. 4, after having been tabled recently for some council-directed retooling. At that time, the council will have the option of voting on the measure or killing it by simply “leaving it on the table.”
This week’s council debate ended in a stalemate, however, with several council members still insisting that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” and several others appearing to agree with staff-suggested changes.
