BROOKINGS – The Brookings City Council will be dealing with multiple issues again Tuesday, but probably none more important that creating a planned development district (PDD) for the Swiftel Center area.
The council will hold a public hearing and will vote on the PDD at its regular semi-monthly session this week.
Creation of the new district is part of the groundwork necessary for development in the Wiese Addition, most notably for a proposal to build a hotel and conference center adjoining the Swiftel facilities.
