BROOKINGS – Clyde Calhoon hardly ever raises his voice in court.

And his comments, in front of the judge or in his third-floor office in the new government center, are delivered quietly as well – short and to the point.

Some find him a little intimidating at first. Certainly those who’ve run afoul of the law do.

But if he doesn’t quite match the TV image of a fire-breathing, hard-charging DA, just remember that he’s one of the most highly regarded prosecutors in the state.
