BROOKINGS – In bygone days, campaign legend says, presidential candidate Herbert Hoover promised “a chicken in every pot.”

This election cycle, the hot button seems to be jobs, jobs, jobs.

Vicki Buseth doesn’t see it quite that way. Her message to the voters of Brookings County is a little different: she’s promising to deliver top-notch customer service.
