BATA offers free rides to the polls on Nov. 6

BROOKINGS – The Brookings Area Transit Authority is offering free rides to the polls on election day, Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Brenda Schweitzer, executive director of BATA, says it is important to help voters cast their ballots and a free round-trip ride is one way to do this.

“Voting is a basic right for Americans, and BATA wants to help facilitate that,” Schweitzer said.

Voters should call BATA at 692-2222 to schedule a ride by 5 p.m., Nov. 5.
